With identification badges becoming the standard way of life when it comes to issues of safety and easy identification in the workplace, having a way to display your ID badge is important. The key for identification badge holders and attachments is that they are durable, simple to use and don't get in your way. There are so many different ways to display ID badges that it is nearly inconceivable that you couldn't find some type of badge accessory that works for you. One of the greatest advantages of the many different choices is that you can find an attachment that is uniquely appropriate for your needs. Here are some of the advantages of the most popular types of ID badge attachments and holders: Badge Clips When it comes to ways to hold your ID badge, the use of badge clips is perhaps the most obvious choice. Badge clips are made of a metal clip that attaches to your clothing and a plastic loop that attaches to your ID badge. These have the advantage of being easy to wear and do not damage your clothing. They are also a good choice for temporary identification, because they are so easy to use. Lanyards Lanyards are perhaps one of the most popular options for both displaying your badge and ease of use. You can choose from break away lanyards, which come apart if subjected to a large amount of pull, or non-breakaway lanyards. Lanyards come in a number of different colors, so you can choose to color code the lanyards according to department, job function, or even grade levels in schools. Lanyards can also be custom printed with the name of your school or company to personalize them even more. Lanyards also make it easy to keep your name badge from getting lost or misplaced because they are around your neck instead of clipped to your clothes. Armband Holders For people with jobs that involve a lot of activity that make the use or lanyards or some type of clip unsuitable, there are armband holders. These durable, clear holders can display an ID badge that is out of the way. This is a fantastic idea for health professionals, those in law enforcement, and anyone else that needs to display an ID badge, but does things that make clips or lanyards inappropriate. For some people, clips or lanyards often simply get in their way. Other Choices Other choices for identification badge holders or attachments include carabiners, wrist coils, heavy duty credential holders, rigid plastic holders and many more. Finding the right ID badge holder or attachment for your school, company or business is actually a very important step when implementing the use of a new badging system. The attachment or holder needs to be easy to use and should keep the ID badge within easy reach for students or employees. They also need to be easy to wear, so they don't get in the way of what people need to do in their normal daily activities.
